In honor of Halloween we carved pumpkins. My husband really loves to outdo Katelyn and I....can you guess which pumpkin is his? I hope all my friends and family have a safe and splendid Halloween!

Happy Halloween!
Today is Halloween! This is one of my most favorite holidays. My daughter, Katelyn was going to be a dinosaur but in the 2 months since I bought the costume, she has gotten taller. So she will be a black cat again this Halloween.

Interesting Ways to Decorate Your Walls
I am a BIG fan of textural - 3 dimensional - repurposed artwork. When you are broke like me, you have to come up with some unique and thrifty ways to decorate. Every time I am out thrifting I come across crochet pot holders, old plates, embroidery hoops and vintage fabrics. These are usually pretty cheap too! Here are some of my most favorite wall decorating ideas!
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS! I did a tutorial awhile back. Find it here.
This would be a great way to display some of grandma's old pot holders.
I love the way the antlers take up the empty space because of the tall ceiling.
Perfect for a craft room and a wonderful way to add a splash of color!
Good use for old drawers. They kind of remind me of shadow boxes.
Old license plates would be adorable in a little boys room.
Don't forget to check out my shops CLEARANCE section! Use code: TWIGGYSAYSWOW for 10% off your order of $10 or more!

Favorite Treasuries
This week I have been super busy creating treasuries for a couple of the treasury teams that I participate in. I usually theme my treasuries around my favorite items and colors. I really love making treasuries! Here are a few of my favorites....

Mother's Day
I hope that all of my momma readers had a wonderful Mother's Day on Sunday. I had a great day! My husband and I did some yard work and got our gifts together for our moms. We decided to give them each a planter with some pretty succulents. My sweet daughter gave me a cute card, some chocolates and purple flowers. This was the first year that she was old enough to pick out a gift and write me something, which was extra special! Now I am just trying to get caught up with packaging up all of my shops sold items!

Mid Century Modern Eye Candy
Today has been dreary and cold here in Texas. It's pretty unusual to have 40 degree weather in May-especially in Texas! To brighten my day- I cruised the web looking at mid century eye candy. Each piece can be found and purchased on Etsy! You are welcome! I wish that I could have it all.
Even your pets can have style! I think my cats, Jack and Isabelle would love these cool pet accessories!
Here are some items that are available in my shop @ A2ndlifeVintage

Amazing Spaces
Here are some amazing spaces that you can drool over! Each space has something in common~ COLOR! Having bright and bold POPS of color in your home can make a boring room, F-U-N and instantly cooler!
Contrasting Red and Blue with little splashes of Yellow/Green.
There is a lot of neutral colors going on in this room with vibrant shades of mustard yellow and reds.
I love that blue brick wall with the colorful artwork. Oh and the cat!
I really love the way they kept it simple. I have trouble keeping it simple when it comes to knick knacks!
Another beautiful neutral space with POPS of colorful wall art. I especially love the Fight Club portraits of Tyler Durden and "Jack".
SWOON! I could really get crafty in this room! And would you look at that flooring!

The Way We Were...
From marriages, houses, furniture, toys and even cars- things were made to last forever. Things were not as disposable as they are today because people took pride in what they built and took care of what they owned. I get kind of sad thinking about what life has become. Even people are disposable now. If only I had a time machine, I would go back to a much simpler time and place! Lets all take a trip to a much sweeter time...
Character and Attention to Detail
Things were built to last.
Children were Children,for longer.
Love Lasted Forever
